Back to School GALORE for Kinders! I'm in LOVE!

Woo-hoo!  We FINALLY finished up our newest unit JUST for KINDERS!

And I have to say I have a little crush!  You know when you have a picture in your head of something you want to create, and well...it turns out all CRAY-CRAY and you are like, "That was NOT what it looked like in my head!"  Yeah...been there, done that!

So this project ACTUALLY turned out like what was in my head...can I get an "AMEN!"

I can't wait to get back to school and start working on these writing, math, and emergent readers with my kiddos!  I think they will love them, but more so I think they will be great for keeping kiddos engaged with meaningful and appropriate activities AND we'll be building our class community all the while!

Here are a couple of my favorite things!

PROJECTS that BUILD COMMUNITY
This project may also be purchased separate from the pack!
This flap book project has kiddos drawing and writing about themselves, their classmates, teachers, and a little about their 1st week in kindergarten.  These make great hall displays and a nice keepsake for families!

George Washington Carver

Hi Friends!! I've been a little sad this week!! I guess I am just having Post Princess Blues!! Came home Monday from an awesome ALL Princess weekend! Yep just girls, hanging, running, eating, shopping and oh yes don't forget getting some awesome BLING.

Me (Page) on the left and my Aunt Michele on the right!
We are loving our 3 medals! One for the 10k, one for the half marathon, and one for doing both!
The Glass Slipper Challenge!

Well back to business it is!! While February is ending, our study for Black History Month continues!!! This week we will be learning about the fabulous contributions made by George Washington Carver!! I would never have been able to finish a half marathon without fuel from some yummy peanut butter!! Thanks George!!!

Have a great week!! Let us know what you think!!!

Living in America! Hint, Hint- Leave a Comment!

I know it's about time we finished this unit!! We are not really good workers unless there is a time crunch for us! Well, maybe just a time crunch for me since Cristy started teaching this unit two weeks ago and has been patiently waiting for the finished product!!

Anyway if you need a cute Common Core aligned unit with lots of resources for Living in America check out our newest addition to our tpt store. In this unit we included graphic organizers, lift the flap books, informational writing papers, emergent non-fiction readers, a game, puzzles pieces, vocabulary cards and 3 flip books as culminating projects. Content in this unit covers American Symbols, Monuments, and Leaders!

Let us know what you think! Don't forget to leave us your email address. We will randomly pick one lucky winner and send you this pack!!

Have an awesome week!!
